Game On!

If you're home (and why would you be on a beautiful day like today!), the game is on MASN.

Remember, don't focus on the results. They don't really matter.

That being said, Patterson pitched well in the first despite the run allowed. None of the three hits he gave up were hit well -- a blooper off a curve, a seeing-eye single among the three. But what was worrisome about it was his curve. It's early, but he wasn't controlling it and it didn't have the sharpness of the pitch that allowed him to be so dominant in '05. He only threw a few, and each one rolled lazily around the zone. We've gotta watch that one as spring goes on...

  • Debbi Taylor saw Patterson's hits the way you did.

And Jim Bowden saw Patterson's curve issues the way you did. Gotta watch where's locating that curve.

  • The game could be summed up in the classic Fletch quote:

"Someone is bucking for a promotion, it is probably that pederast Hanrahan."

But Flores looked good. And I was impressed with Casto.

  • Needham-

You really need to get the pool going for JP's first stint on the DL. It says here April 15th (yes, tax day). Maybe this will work from a reverse-jinx perspective.
