Bitter Much?
Busy day, busy day...
In the meantime, read the bitter rantings of everyone's least favorite recently fired RFK deejay. (Just look for the postings by natspa)
(Is the "With the way they treated Frank" line going to be used by anyone ever let go by this franchise?)

While I'm sure Jim Clarke is a nice gentleman he was not a very good PA announcer for Nats games. Sometimes he would never announce pitching or pinch hitting changes or would get to it an inning later.

My personal pet peeve with Jim Clarke's "announcing" was his annoying habit of confusing the 3B and SS during the introduction of the starting lineups. I think it had something to do with they way they were displayed on the video screen, or perhaps he didn't understand that 3B comes before SS in the 1-9 numberical shorthand. Oh well.

My vote goes to "With the way they treated Michael Tucker" with an honorable to "With the way they treated Henry Mateo."

I am a undergraduate Corporate Communications & Public Relations student at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and I am working under the direction of Professor Dr. Own Henley Lynch. I am writing my honors senior thesis on whether it is possible to “manufacture” a die-hard baseball fan. Focusing specifically on the Washington Nationals, I am exploring this phenomenon in relation to the Identification Theory. My paper is an auto-ethnographic study of my family and friends and their baseball experiences. I grew up going to Orioles games with my family, but when the Nationals moved to D.C., my father and I became Nationals fans, while my brother has remained loyal to the Orioles. I am trying to understand what make some people stay loyal to their team, while others find it easy to let their loyalty sway. If anyone would be willing to add their perspective on the issue, I would greatly appreciate the input and help.

Sorry to read the comments by Clarke re Charlie Brotman. I think Brotman would do a fine job while giving a nod to those older DC baseball fans looking for some acknowledgement that the past wasn;t all negative.

did you actually read Clarke's rant? maybe he'd have been better at his job if he knew the english language. geez, there were more incorrect apostrophes and commas and misspellings in that thing than you could shake a stick at. good riddance.
