Two-Bit Crapbag Operation

And I'm not even referring to the stinkpot on the field.

Stan Kasten should be hanging his head in shame. I'm sure we'll get another set of apologies, but the continued and excessive screwups with EVERYTHING associated with this franchise is BEYOND apology.

First it was the Aramark crap, and the parking and traffic problems opening day.

Now tonight, large segments of people who ACTUALLY WANT TO WATCH Kasten's shitty team are unable to because their digustingly incompetent television situation has farked everything up. I've had a bunch of emails, and now some comments. And the people at BPG are chipping in.

WHY AFTER THREE YEARS, ARE PEOPLE STILL UNABLE TO WATCH THE GODDAMN TEAM?

Someone in the previous thread called MASN and was told that the blackout was the Nationals' fault, which it clearly isn't. (more lies reported in the comments to Svrluga's blog)

Is there ANYONE or ANY BUSINESS affiliated with this team that isn't grossly incompetent?

What garbage.

  • I luckily or unluckily, depending on your point of view, wasn't blacked out. I was able to watch it.

Unfortunately for most, they came back right around the 5th/6th inning, after the good stuff!

  • It showed up on Directv finally in about the 6th or 7th. Is it too late to get my 4 grand back but still have "priority?"

  • I always liked to think of us bloggers as just incompetent rathe than grossly incompetent

  • Three words, Stan:

    Breach of contract.

    C'mon! Do it!

  • It's not even so much that Lerner/Kasten have to stop sucking (although they do suck at some things - getting fans their season tickets for one); it's that they have to hold accountable the people that are sucking in their service to Lerner/Kasten's customer base.... Aramark, DCSEC, MASN...

(I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing MASN die a grusome death.

  • I could actually understand some of this crap if the team had been bought like a week or two ago. But the Lerners have had the whole second half of last year to try and get things right, and if anything, things seem to have regressed to the level when MLB owned the team! It's pretty sad.

  • Lerner & Co. have their brains all wrapped up in that new place over by the Navy Yard. This year is an afterthought, as if: "Oh RIGHT! Damn...we have to take care of this year too...geez almost forgot, sorry!"

  • Sir,

I think you are much too mean to Mr. Kasten. He is a good man and works very hard to make a living for his family.

    Thank you for your attention.

  • Thanks for stopping by, Mrs. Kasten!

I don't doubt for a second that he's a good man; I've heard far too much to make me think otherwise.

That doesn't change the fact that hardly anything has gone right from the customer's point of view, and that improving the customer's experience has supposedly been one of his highest priorities.

  • Todays game is on MASN 2 again. Im nervous already. Is MASN on all DirecTv's throughout the country or just regionally?

  • I think "two-bit crapbag operation" is my new favorite phrase. Couldn't agree more.
