Triple Our Pleasure
Ouch! But a good ouch. This time, we weren't the spankees, but the spankers!
Seven of the Nationals twelve hits went for extra bases, including back-to-back triples in the fifth by Jamey Carroll and Jose Vidro and a ninth-inning bases-clearing triple by Terrmel Sledge.
But the real hero of the day is the clean-up hitter, Jose Guillen, who certainly cleaned up on Braves pitching. He crushed two homers and had four RBI. He's up to 5 and 8, respectively.
Sensei Ohka threw in two hits and allowed six walks! (UGH!)
5-4, first place, and we're headed home. Is that a pennant I smell? ;)
Oh, and we had 8 (EIGHT) walks! I know Atlanta's pitching imploded, but that's amazing!
