What A Happy Ending!

Nats Enquirer points to the good news! On his big day with his bobblehead (though with Pittsburgh in town, it could pass for a Jerome Bettis one), Dmitri has found the miracle cure for that aching back: a masseuse!

"I was stunned," Bowden said. "All of a sudden, he has instant relief. She found the spot.... and his hips went through it."

What a happy ending!

Now he's on to Viera to start swinging the bat, and if he's ever feeling back pain again, he knows he can pick up a copy of the city paper and peruse the ads in the back for his next miracle cure!

  • Good to hear. May he have a speedy recovery.

Unrelated, but what ever happened to John Patterson? He's not listed on any of Texas' minor league rosters.
Have you heard any news since he signed with the Rangers?

  • Our *sources* tell us the masseuse in question works out of a little place called "Sunny Delight" in Laurel...wink wink...

  • I hear they do wonderful hip work.

  • I hope it works because the Nats can use his bat. There is not one hitter in the regular lineup who is hitting a lick. The more dope Bowden tinkers with the outfield, the more impotent it gets. I suspect by mid season he will bring Adam Dunn in. Then we will have another ex Red, another big whiffer, and another .220 hitter.

  • Bring him back to remove one of the top hitters (according to PrOPS) from the lineup? I think not.

Now, if you're talking about playing him in the outfield...I could discuss it...but don't think it would be a very long conversation...

  • I'm not suggesting they play him at anything except as a ph, but he can still contribute to this team.

  • Inter-league play is right around the corner. So, if DY is going to contribute, he needs to be in the DH spot when the Nats head to AL cities.
