Casto Coming North?
From Barry:
I'm not holding my breath, but it'd be interesting. Even if they back down from Church, Snelling would deserve the LF job. Then the only position for regular ABs is first, and the thought of Dmitri Young there makes Jim Bowden tingle. So where would he play?
Casto has options remaining, so unlike Church and Snelling, he could be sent to the minors without risk of losing him to another team. But there are indications that the Nationals are at least considering taking an 11-man pitching staff to start the season in order to make room for Casto.

Whoops. You can pencil Casto in now. Logan just went down with a knee injury that just screams "disabled list."

IMO Casto should play 1B over Young or Lee. OR ideally he can become the Power-version of Chone Figgins. Giving Zimmerman, Snelling, Kearns, and our 1B (hopefully Johnson by the end of the year) a rest/pinch-hitter day every week.

Nationals Season Ticket Holders can expect to receive their 2007 season tickets by Wednesday, March 28. If you have not received your tickets by then, please call 202.675.NATS (6287) or email stcomments@nationals.com.
The date was updated today on the Nats site. This is past the point of ridiculous! We shouldn't be getting our season tix FIVE days before Opening Day (if we get them at all). The Nats could have a major PR disaster on their hands.

I'd rather see casto at first base with young on the bench, while snelling and church play the outfield until logan comes back. really, young isn't the future, and we need to see if casto is.
