What Does It Say...

... that this makes me smile inside?

At least he hasn't sat in the dugout.  Yet.

Of course were it not for Ted Turner, he'd probably have already done it.

  • In "full Nationals uniform"?

    Like...seriously?

Even Dan Snyder's thinks he made an ass of himself.

  • Man, if I spent a half a million dollars US of someone else's money on a baseball team, you bet your ass I'd wear the uniform, and sit in the dugout anytime I felt like it. And if I could convince the trainer I was the reincarnation of a recently deceased teammate, all the better.

  • Markie Mark is day-to-day. Expected back in October for the postseason. I guess that just leaves us with the Bernadina-Harris-Guzman platoon in right field. I guess we'll just have to suck on it and like it.

I usually get to games really early, 5 o'clock or so. Good think I didn't go tonight. Had I seen this, I would have probably hurt myself laughing. And booing.

What a complete, absolute tool. A rich tool, but a tool nonetheless.

  • I think he was just trying to compete with Strasburg and Zimmerman for the highest bid on a jersey at the next Dream Foundation auction.

  • At least he got to the ball, which means he's better than 50% of the OFs he paid to put on the team from 2005-2009

  • With Taveras clearing waivers maybe Lerner is trying to save some $$$ on a fifth OF

  • I have seen him play the outfield during BP on numerous occassions. Bowden and his kids did too, when they were here. To me, it's bush league - if you want to sit in the dugout fine but to play the field during BP? I cannot believe any other owner in MLB does that.

  • Marge Schott used to walk her dog on the field before games, sans pooper scooper. I'm sure players have less problem with an owner shagging flies during BP than they did with that.
