Dutch!
Congrats to Dutch Zimmerman on his first major league home run, a game-tying shot in the 9th inning off Billy Wagner.
That's definitely one to tell the grandkids about!
Nats Win! Nats Win! Five runs in extra innings! Did we ever score that many in an inning last year? :P
That's definitely one to tell the grandkids about!

Billy Wagner in the post-game interview just now gave the usual losing pitcher drivel, then said, "I know Zimmerman's supposed to be a high ball hitter but...that was impressive!"
Rookie Zimm = HR #1
Fireballer Wagner = Blown save #1
Gotta love that!

king: Wasn't the blown call before Wagner entered the game? Or are you referring to something else?

Maybe the baseball gods are shaking things up all over: Athletics knock Jaret Wright, Mike Myers (party on, Garth!), and Kyle Farnsworth all over the park to leap ahead of Los Yankees 9-4 in the 8th inning.
Big money? Big names? Big deal!

Would that be Dutch's first Majority Whip award?

I'll keep posting 'em so long as I can come up with them :) I had kicked around the idea of doing a blog just devoted to them, but eh; I've got enough other stuff to do.
That said, somebody's going to have to pick up the slack for me next week; I'm in Cali. Expect a Dodgers/Giants/Padres/As haiku flurry when I return.
