Game Day: Win Or Get Swept

With a dreaded Ramon Ortiz/Pedro Martinez matchup on the horizon, the Nationals face their first not-technically-but-i'm-calling-it-one-anyway must-win of the season. Getting swept is never fun. Getting swept to start the season is demoralizing.

John Patterson debuts his brand spankin' new changeup for the first time, as he faces off against Brian Bannister, a rookie who had a 3.18 ERA for triple-A Norfolk (STATS). Federal baseball has the nickel scouting report on the youngin'.

The game's on MASN, so it sucks to be most of us. But the radio's free! 107.7 or 1500. It's your pick.

If you're watching or listening, come chat along with us at GameDay. As always, ignore the first 300 comments.

  • Dreaded?

    Pedro vs. Next Pedro? Epic!

  • ...or catch the game on XM 183 anywhere. Gotta love that!

  • Not so fast...if we can get Page to teach Watson to hit low his first time up, we can have Pedro exit in the first with "line-drive-in-already-injured-toe injury."
