'Round The World
I'm sure there are others that I've missed, but here are some good posts on other blogs from the last day or so.
The Inquirer looks at an amazingly candid Boswell chat that completely lacks the typically Boswellian spin.
The Nats Blog team is trying to get a Natsblogger Bake Sale going to help buy the team some computers and statistical software.
They also have a look at last night's game with some of the same observations I had. (Which, as the Distinguished Senator once claimed, means I'm right, damnit)

Chris - check out this from an article about an Eischen replacement ...
"The Nationals are not considering lefty Joe Horgan. He is hasn't retired a batter since being demoted to the Minor Leagues last Sunday and is experiencing a sore shoulder. "
Way to go Frank, another victim of Frobby overuse.

I saw that. I'm not sure that that's necessarily a sign of overuse, though I'm sure that that didn't help.
Isn't it likely that he was pitching poorly before because of the injury?

quite possible but given his two long innings of work, if there was a pre-existing condition I'm sure it didn't help it

C'mon... be a man! Phil Regan (reagan?) once threw 12 innings of relief for Frank's team back in '62! And this little wus can't get through one inning? Eff him!

Regan it is.
But the days of 'being a man' are long gone. The training and pitching regiments of today's pitchers lead to many more injuries. If pitchers were to actually throw more on their off-days, they would condition themselves to go longer in ballgames.
