Take My Bacsik Please!

I don't care what you have to do, but if Mike Bacsik (2.2 IP, 8H, 5R, 3HR) gets another fecking start, I'm finding Manny's house and... ummm... doing nothing to it, officer.

Seriously? Why? What's the point? He's terrible.

Speaking of terrible, I wonder how Lopez is going to handle the post-game? Buck sez he punches Zuckerman.

[whistles... Love me non-tender, love me sweet, gonna let you go.]

  • I didn't catch any of the pre-game so when they went to the bottom of the 1st and announced Bacsik, I told my roommate, "Uggggh Bacsik, he won't last three innings" I wish I hadn't been so right

  • Remember, we're starting him because we have an obligation to the rest of the NL to try our best to win...certainly wouldn't want to start Detwiler and see how he does...he might not get roughed up as easily.

  • Is Mike just as bad from the bullpen as he is as a starter? Where can I find that kind of split?

  • Any split that you'd find would be practically meaningless. he hasn't pitched enough in either situation. In general, pitchers pitch better out of the bullpen, but it's all relative.

Bacsik doesn't strike anyone out and he allows homers like opposing batters are charity cases. Neither of those would translate to the 'pen.

  • I like Bacsik because he signed a baseball for my 12 year old son during the recent Giants series at RFK.

Last night, my son said, "Oh, man. Looks like I need to get another autograph."

  • I know they lost but still, no love for Justin Maxwell?

First career hit and it's a grand salami (sorry, Bermanitis).

I hope Maxwell gets a long look at spring training.
