Mitchell Page is working on his swing. He was only batting .220 at this point last year. Don't panic.

Zimmerman is at least making good contact now. He had some atbats earlier in the season when he looked completely fooled on every pitch, either by striking out or hitting weak pop-ups and grounders every AB. He does look like he presses more with runners on base though.
But, his atbat the other night against Smoltz, and then his late atbat last night were both pretty good. Against Smoltz, he hit the ball pretty hard. Last night, he ended up with a K, but he fought off some good pitches and looked good at the plate. I think he'll pick it up soon.

"Mitchell Page is working on his swing."
So, what's the good news?

He's never seemed to be happy to be the "face of the franchise". Maybe a little too quiet and introspective. And a young sophomore doesn't need that pressure.
