Jim Bowden, Man Of Action
The man works quickly!
Please don't compare him to Caminiti! Please!
Washington took University of Virginia third baseman Ryan Zimmerman with the fourth pick, and already agreed to contract terms with him. The Nationals will send him directly to Double-A Harrisburg to start his professional career. Zimmerman, who set a Team USA record with a .468 batting average last summer, is also a tremendous defensive player who’s been described as a future Gold Glover.
“Whether it’s the Brooks Robinsons or Scott Rolens or Ken Caminitis, there are not a lot of really special third basemen who ever get to play in the major leagues,” general manager Jim Bowden said. “This player is one of those players.”
Please don't compare him to Caminiti! Please!

Harrisburg Senators are home this weekend against the Reading Phillies. Their next weekend homestand is June 24-26 against the Akron Aeros.

Actually, they aren't going to play Zimmerman. His drafting is just part of their psychological warfare against the Nats true enemy: Brendan Harris.
