Not yet, but I called the ticket office around 3, and they said the email won't be sent until later this evening, not long before the purchasepalooza begins.I'm very antsy.

Mine arrived at 9:25.
By Yuda, at 2/09/2005 9:43 PM
OK, now I'm REALLY antsy.

Yuda's bluffing! I KNOW he is ;)Please be bluffing, Yuda, please! :)Does it give you a link? A password?
By Chris Needham, at 2/09/2005 9:56 PM
Whew. I'm not the only one.All right, Chris. Cross yer fingers.

I have no ticket to this party, unfortunately, but I thought I'd add that this is a funny discussion. It's like you're all trying to register for that one section of sociology that everyone knows the smokin' hot chick's going to be in. ;-)
By Basil, at 2/09/2005 10:09 PM
Based on that, I can tell that my college experience was completely different than yours. ;)At mine, smoking hot was relative. I think there was a sliding scale with facial hair, actually. (At least for the ones who weren't LaCrossetitutes.)
By Chris Needham, at 2/09/2005 10:11 PM
What can I say? I went to college with Dayn Perry. ;-) Not really . . .
By Basil, at 2/09/2005 10:19 PM
Alright.... 10:27 and still nothing. Ugh.
By Chris Needham, at 2/09/2005 10:27 PM
Well, good luck to all. Out.

You know, if the Nats generate the same degree of anxiety on the field as they have in their brief off-season existence (The Angelos Acrimony, The Cropp Saga, the Full Season Seat Assignment Debacle, The Radio Rhubarb, The Partial Season Waiting Game) -- we're in for a wild season.10:45 and nada.
By Trapper John, at 2/09/2005 10:45 PM
Well... 11:11 and still nuttin'.I did get my CQ Today Daily Briefing though. And 14 spam e-mails. I guess that's something.
By Chris Needham, at 2/09/2005 11:12 PM
Get it yet?
By Trapper John, at 2/09/2005 11:57 PM
My email came with a custom-generated page link, a login (my MLB account number, actually) and password (which appears to be my zipcode).More details in three minutes after I purchase.
By Yuda, at 2/10/2005 12:00 AM
Nope.I double checked and I AM registered. Weird.
By Chris Needham, at 2/10/2005 12:00 AM
Okay, following the link in the email actually redirected me to a ticketmaster page, which then prompted me to log in (I did), agree to give them my first-born or somesuch in a EULA (I did), and now I'm looking at a page that'll let me edit my profile.Underneath the profile stuff, it says "Buy Tickets" but there's nothing clickable -- yet.
By Yuda, at 2/10/2005 12:02 AM
Okay, I'm starting to shake here. I feel like a heroin addict who needs his fix. It's 12:02 on my computer and still no email from the Nats. WTF?Somebody email me at email@example.com just to keep me sane.- Adubs

I didn't get it either, but I think I found a back door.

If anybody has AIM and wants to commisserate, I'm on there as johnyuda. And the link to buy tickets is live now. Working on a 41-er.
By Yuda, at 2/10/2005 12:06 AM
Trapper John, I might love you. Just might.
By Chris Needham, at 2/10/2005 12:08 AM
I keep waiting for this "back door" to ask me for a password, but it hasn't so far.-- Adubs

When I purchased my tix, it made me create an account before asking for credit card info. Keep going.
By Trapper John, at 2/10/2005 12:14 AM
Backdoor seemed to be working, but when I tried to select seats it said that the system was too busy -- probably not a problem with the backdoor itself, but just an overloaded system, I guess.
By Randolph, at 2/10/2005 12:15 AM
Yeah... I've tried 9 times or so and it keeps giving me the system busy thing. Damn people. Don't they know I'm important? :)
By Chris Needham, at 2/10/2005 12:17 AM
Also...still no email, although I think I've been signed up for at least a week or so.
By Randolph, at 2/10/2005 12:25 AM
Anyone else having luck? Or is Ticketmaster just overloaded?
By Trapper John, at 2/10/2005 12:26 AM
I've got about 17 accounts with 24 different e-mails. And none of them got anything.Prolly thought I was a ticket scalper! :)
By Chris Needham, at 2/10/2005 12:26 AM
I got to the checkout page one, but, rather than the one plan I'd selected, it was trying to give me -- I'm not making this up -- about 30 different plans totalling over $15,000.So, back to the ol' drawing board. And no luck since then.
By Yuda, at 2/10/2005 12:30 AM
I'm old and sleepy, and I have a toddler who will probably get up at like 6, so I may have to give this up soon... Just can't get through.
By Randolph, at 2/10/2005 12:33 AM
Then get up at 6. There'll be fewer people on then. And I don't think it's going to make THAT much of a difference in seating location.Especially as more and more of us get frustrated and go to bed.*YAWN*
By Chris Needham, at 2/10/2005 12:36 AM
Have any of us non-e-mail people actually gotten in and purchased tickets thru the link TJ gave us?

Bitter rantings by a sometimes-analytical fanboy who loves the Washington Nationals, even though you probably can't tell 3/4 of the time.
