The Owners Are CHEEEP!

(In this case, it's Peter Angelos)

Enjoy all 40 HD broadcasts, Nats fans. (You get 40 more if you want to watch the Devil Rays pound the bejeesus out of the O's)

But, hey, they brought back the live pregame show with Ray Knight!!!!!! Yay!

Oh, wait, that's bad!

Cheap bastards.

  • And it only took these mopes in Baltimore three years to finally start HD broadcasts. Welcome to the 231st Century, Mr. Angelos. I shudder to think what this moron could accomplish in another 3 years.

  • Actually we only get 34 more HD broadcasts if we choose to watch the O's as well as the Nats. Six of the games in each 40-game set are O's-Nats games.

I love the way the MASN press release talks about them broadcasting 320 games in their first full year operation. What the f*** were they in 2005 and 2006 then? (Okay, I suppose the answer is obvious: a half-assed operation.)

You'd think that if they made the investment in one set of HD cameras, truck and such that they'd go ahead and use it continuously over the course of the season by broadcasting either the Nats or the O's in HD on any given day. That would get them up to around 160 games in HD instead of a paltry 74. Do you think maybe Angelos only bought the HD trial package because he's afraid the technology may not catch on?

  • I guess when you've got such an awful team it'll probably finish behind the Devil Rays and might end up having the worst record in baseball, it makes sense to be such a cheap f*ck.

It's a shame the Nationals have to suffer for his total incompetence as well though. Thanks a lot Selig!

  • by way of comparison, Sports Time Ohio (STO), the vanity network created by the owners of the Cleveland Indians, was brand new in 2007. however, for 2008, Indians fans can look forward to ALL games in HD!

not only that but to add further insult to (our) injury, ALL STO programming will be in HD within the next month or two.

perhaps mr angelos can recommend a good attorney to file a class action lawsuit on behalf of all nats and blOs fans against his pathetic operation.
