Bowden On 980

Just heard Bowden crowing on 980 on my drive home. Two things.
Mentioned they were close to dealing Cordero for a 19-year old pitcher in the NY Penn League. (Presumably as a piece).
He also said they were close to dealing Dmitri a week or two ago, to a team that 'fell out of the race'. Buck says, it was the Twins.

Had to have been the Twins. Dumb flippin' luck.

LOL but don't forget i also reported the whopper that bodesy claimed dameethook and belliard were allegedly MORE tradable after their extensions.
let's just say that i eagerly await your thoughts on that one! my take - eh, it's possible. rentals just aren't getting valued very highly in trades anymore.

He was probably literally true. He had more calls on them, since it was closer to the deadline.
PRobable exchange on the other end of the line:
"You just extended them?"
"For How much?"
"You're not kidding?"
"Ummm... I've got a meeting, I need to go to. I'll call you later [click]"
