Another Ringing Endorsement

...for our favorite GM, Jim Bowden.
"You get branded," [Brendan] Harris said. "A guy like Jim Bowden tells you you're one thing, and if you were there before he got there you weren't part of the solution; you were part of the problem. Not just for me, but for everybody. I felt like I almost lost a year in my career over there. I'm happy to be out of there and given a fresh start over here."

  • Forget Harris, I'd MUCH rather have Tony Batista lining my bench. The man really know his way around a buffet!

And not to mention that great offensive powerhouse in FLop we receivede in return.

From Claudio Vargas to Jamey Carroll, Bowden does have a way of misunderestimating players who he didn't know from the Reds.

  • in fairness, harris was dumped by the reds too. nobody ends up in tampa bay by choice. and, while i loved jamey, his numbers this year are awful. the only ones that really burn me are vargas and maicer izturis.

  • It's sad we threw in Harris in the Reds trade.
It seems that some prospects get chance after chance to make it, while guys like Brendan Harris don't get much of a shot at all. No rhyme or reason to it.
