Another Ringing Endorsement
...for our favorite GM, Jim Bowden.
"You get branded," [Brendan] Harris said. "A guy like Jim Bowden tells you you're one thing, and if you were there before he got there you weren't part of the solution; you were part of the problem. Not just for me, but for everybody. I felt like I almost lost a year in my career over there. I'm happy to be out of there and given a fresh start over here."Thanks to the anonymous google maniac...

Forget Harris, I'd MUCH rather have Tony Batista lining my bench. The man really know his way around a buffet!
And not to mention that great offensive powerhouse in FLop we receivede in return.
From Claudio Vargas to Jamey Carroll, Bowden does have a way of misunderestimating players who he didn't know from the Reds.

in fairness, harris was dumped by the reds too. nobody ends up in tampa bay by choice. and, while i loved jamey, his numbers this year are awful. the only ones that really burn me are vargas and maicer izturis.

It's sad we threw in Harris in the Reds trade.
It seems that some prospects get chance after chance to make it, while guys like Brendan Harris don't get much of a shot at all. No rhyme or reason to it.
