Welcome Back, Casto; Adios, Jimenez
Kory Casto's back, getting a callup. And D'Angelo Jimenez was designated for assignment.
Exciting moves that are sure to right the good ship National.
(Do you ever get the feeling that the people who run this team should be forced to take higher doses of ritalin?)
More later.... maybe.... ok, maybe not....

na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!!! hip hip hooray, hip hip hooray, hip hip hoooooooooooray!
however, to really make my day, somebody will claim him off waivers. i'm still very concerned we'll see him in a nats uniform again.
after watching him look completely useless at the plate and in the field, did we really have THAT much to worry about with tony womack?

chris - i'd also like to be the first one to suggest a "d'angelo jimenez award" for the most inept position player as a fine complement for your groundbreaking "joe horgan award." thank you for your consideration!

But there are so many possibilities to name the award after. There's Wil Cordero (although that might have to have an off-the-field component as well), Damian Jackson (ditto), Tony Blanco, and so many others. Heck Josh Wilson might be a better choice (especially if you ask Shawn Hill) since Jimenez hasn't had much chance to foul things up in the field.

Josh Wilson Next. He's terrible.

good points all. on the plus side, it means that i've somewhat successfully managed to purge the marlons, the aptly-named damian jackson and even the nightmarish tony blanco experience (remember, we were actually trying to contend at the time, despite being a man down on the active roster) from my short-term memory.
hopefully, d'angelo (and, yeah, josh wilson) will also slowly but surely fade away!
