John Patterson

Right-handed starter.

Patterson throws a mid-90s fastball to go with a devastating sharp overhand curveball, which compliment each other nicely. He also throws a slider as a third pitch.

When healthy, he shows great promise, but he's rarely been healthy. He had Tommy John surgery several years ago, and in 2006, he missed most of the season with a nerve problem that was limiting his ability to pitch.

He is arbitration eligible for the first time in 2006.
