Soriano The Nat

ESPN is reporting that the Nationals have acquired Alfonso Soriano for Brad Wilkerson, Terrmel Sledge, and a PTBNL. Let's see if we can find out who the youngin' is.

Soriano would move to left, leaving Vidro to hobble around second.

More later....

UPDATE...

They're peeing all over themselves with excitement at Lone Star Ball. The very early Primate consensus is that it's a lot to give up for Soriano.

  • "With Jose Vidro already entrenched at second base, it's believed that the Nationals would move Soriano to left field."

Don't the Nats already have like 2349850723987 outfielders, and an injury-prone infielder that the player you're trading away can play the position of? Also, don't they need pitching after they've lost 3/5 of their starting rotation?

    F#$%ing Trader Jim. Dammit.

Don't get me wrong: I kinda like Soriano. I just don't think that it's worth giving up your most reliable (position) player AND a super-young potential star for a guy who plays a position where you already have too MANY players.
