Classy

If there's one thing Rob Dibble knows, it's class.  Pure class, he.

Dibble said that Pudge Rodriguez is one of the classiest players in the Major Leagues, perhaps in history. He's right there next to Stan Musial, no doubt.

Need further proof? Look at that tasteful back yard.

  • I believe he also said that the Nationals would have 45 to 50 wins if they played better defense and cut down on the mistakes.

Or did he say that Our Washington Nationals would have 45 to 50 wins . . .

Dibbles reaction here is exactly what's wrong with him as an analyst. Just over-the-top and embarrassing. The problem is that this is exactly what the (few) people who like analyst Dibble enjoy seeing, so he's just going to keep turning up the volume to please them.

  • I hate every "GET UP!" Dibble does, but I thought the "YES HE DID" on the walk-off was appropriate. He sounded more joyous than macho man in that instance.

  • What, just because there's no fountain with cherubs peeing?

(And would you care to illustrate the point by posting a photo of your own classy b/y?)

  • "Well mom, remember my dream of owning a big house on a hill and how I used to wish for a living room with a plaster lion in it from Mexico and how I always wanted a large twenty four seat dining table in a dining room with original oil paintings by Michelangelo and Rembrandt and remember how I always wanted a rotating bed with pink chiffon and zebra stripes and remember how I used to chit chat with dad about always wanting a bathtub shaped like a clam and an office with orange and white stripes and remember how much I wanted an all red billiard room with a giant stuffed camel and how I wanted a disco room with my own disco dancers and a party room with fancy friends and remember how much I wanted a big backyard with Grecian statues, s-shaped hedges and three swimming pools? Well, I got that too." -Navin Johnson

  • Lots of people have life-sized chocolate statues of themselves in their backyards. So what???

  • Did somebody say... classy?

  • Sec3: Chris clearly lives in a condo, like any decent human being.

Brandon: Yeah, you're right, he does sound joyous. Must be a sound editing thing.
