Times Adds Clarity
The Times makes a few of last night's issues a little more clear. I could blockquote the whole damn thing, but just click over and read it. In short, the Times thinks the amendment will pass. If it does, I'm pretty sure the whole thing will pass. But, the Times brings up the question of whether the amended lease will be acceptable to MLB. (I can't see why it wouldn't, because MLB essentially wanted to divorce itself from the funding problems in the first place.)
The Post editorializes in favor of the stadium. (Which still won't appease the mouth-breathers who think the Post is anti-Nats)
The Times has a piece on how the stadium will destroy the history of SW.
Have you seen the stadium site? If you haven't been there, and really the only reason you would is if you were looking for a bathhouse or took a wrong turn in Albuquerque, jdland.com provides you with a photo essay. (I think I remember seeing some of those buildings in "Thunderdome")

Isn't it ironic that the low life council member leading the charge against the stadium is a womanizing druggie and tax evader who is presently staring at a possible 2 year prison sentence.

Wow, I must say that I'm fairly stunned that the WaPo is actually endorsing a "Yes" vote.
Some of the council members (Fenty, Catania, etc) wouldn't vote Yes even if the Blade endorsed it, but it's going to be tough for someone like Kwame Brown to go against it when even the Post favors it.
